أعلنت دائرة الثقافة والسياحة – أبوظبي عن تأجيل الدورة الثلاثين من معرض أبوظبي الدولي للكتاب الذي كان من المقرر عقده من 15 ولغاية 21 أبريل 2020، في مركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض، حتى 23 إلى 29 مايو 2021. وذلك ضمن إطار الإجراءات الوقائية للحفاظ على الصحة العامة.

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi has postponed the 30th edition of Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which was scheduled to take place on 15 until 21 April 2020, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, until 23 to 29 May 2021. The move is a precautionary measure to protect public health.

Al Dhafra Book Fair aims to support the cultural movement in the Al Dhafra Region, especially with the achievements it is witnessing across all fields owing to the vision of H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, that are reflecting positively on Al Dhafra’s economy.

 

The book fair is part of the continuous efforts made by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi to provide opportunities supportive of the publishing industry, motivating it to break into new markets, and further spreading a culture of reading and passion for knowledge throughout the UAE community.

 

Offering visitors a variety of cultural events and programmes designed to encourage reading in the local community, the five-day book fair will include various activities like storytelling and numerous educational and artistic workshops for children and youth.

 

With the participation of more than 20 local publishers and distributors, the fair provides the public and the publishing community with access to a variety of books and the latest of publications in all fields of interest.
