In this session, a sketch will be made about the importance and characteristics of children's literature.
Yalvaç Ural (1968) is writer and poet. He worked at Milliyet Publications between 1980-88 and then at Gelişim Publications. He directed the children's magazines Milliyet Çocuk, Milliyet Kardeş, Güm Güm. In addition to children's stories and novels, he wrote educational series for television. For his contributions to children's literature and education, he was awarded the 2nd International Children's Book Fair Poetry First Prize in 1979, the Milliyet Art Magazine Game Competition Award in 1980, the Turkish-Greek Friendship Abdi İpekçi Award Poetry Achievement Award in 1983, the International Polish Smile Order and the International Polish Smile Award in 1986. He received the Knight's Award. She represented Turkey at the International Children's Poetry Festival in 2001.
