Science is the Fruit of Life Corner
The 'Robots in our Lives' workshop
Participants will remotely control educational robots and make them follow the black line in an atmosphere of excitement and competition.
The science guide will instruct participants to:
- Start the remote control programmes on their controller (tablet)
- Start the robots and connect them to the tablets
- Follow the line until reaching the finish line
The World of Biology & Labs workshop
Provides scientific experiments to enable children to understand themselves and the world around them better.
Participants in this workshop will be able to see the bacteria living all around us on our hands, mobile phones and latrines, by following the steps of the scientific experiment to see the various germs scattered under the microscope, thus sensitising them to the importance of sanitisation and sterilisation of the world around us. Children will also enjoy touching the screen for an almost live experience.
The Creative Mind Workshop
Japanese Mental Calculations (Genius MAP)
The use of abacuses (counters) in solving various mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, is among the oldest and fastest methods to ever exist.
In this workshop, children are trained to use the abacus using visualisation and imagination to help them visualise the movements of the counter’s beads, thus helping them calculate faster.
The programme enhances the development of brain growth and increases children’s computational and life-based mental abilities to help them become more active and distinguished.
The 'Electricity & Electronics' workshop
An educational corner for those interested in learning the principles of simple and complex electrical connections in an atmosphere of fun and competition.
The workshop begins with a brief description of the available power equipment that can be used to make single circuits that emit the sound of a police car siren, and another that allows a fan to move on touch.
