The attitude towards clothing in Abu Dhabi is relaxed, but visitors (men and women) should show due deference to local customs in public places, by avoiding excessively revealing attire. Discretion and elegance are the watchwords here.
Women play a full and active part of life in the UAE, and experience no special day-to-day restrictions on their dress or behaviour. The country is also exceptionally safe for women travelling on their own. Whatever time of day or night, moving about town will not be a problem.
Local workers across the service industries have a fluent command of English and other major international languages, so when you have something to say, you will be readily understood.
