Throughout the years, we have worked alongside renowned book fairs worldwide with the goal of fostering a love for literature, learning and culture. This year, we are honoured to once again collaborate with our longstanding partners known for being some of the most influential book fairs in their regions.
The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre attends the Beijing International Book Fair 2024 with the goal of supporting and spreading the Arabic language, opening up to world cultures, and elevating Abu Dhabi's cultural status, as well as promoting the Centre's projects and programmes, such as the Kalima Translation Project and book fairs organised by the Centre, to attract Chinese participation and cooperation at all levels. This is in addition to learning about the latest publishing technologies, artificial intelligence, and content for the most important Chinese entities working in the field of creative content and technologies, as well as discussing their participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and the International Congress of Arabic Publishing and Creative Industries (PCI).
Cairo International Book Fair is the largest and oldest book fair in the Arab region and one of the biggest book fairs in the world. Inaugurated in 1969, the fair features a wide range of multi-language literary and cultural activities and receives an estimated two million visitors annually. It is a popular destination for visitors seeking diversified exhibitions, events and discussions.
Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest book fair in the world, bringing together publishers, authors, agents and book lovers since 1945. The fair celebrates the legacy of literature while opening up spaces for new, innovative and valuable discussions and encounters that drive ideas forward. Last year’s edition received 4,000 exhibitors and 180,000 visitors on-site from around the world.
The Riyadh International Book Fair is one of Saudi Arabia’s major cultural events, aiming to instil a passion for reading and raise awareness of knowledge, culture, literature and art in the Saudi community.
