The session focusses on the cultural sites of Al Ain listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2011, and the impact of this inclusion on the cultural, civilisational, economic, and touristic scene in the city of Al Ain. It also highlights the components of the Emirati national identity, including cultural heritage.
The session will also discuss the legislation, regulations, and laws issued by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi regulating heritage in the field of cultural heritage, and its direct impact on the social, economic, and investment aspects of life in the city of Al Ain. Additionally, it will introduce official efforts to promote World Heritage sites in Al Ain, UAE, and the Jordanian city of Petra.
World Heritage Sites Management Section Head at the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi - UAE
Works as the Head of the World Heritage Sites Department at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi.
He began his career as an archaeologist after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology in 2009 from the University of Bradford. He completed his Master's degree in World Heritage Management in 2020 from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
He has participated in numerous fieldwork, excavations, and archaeological surveys with his colleagues in the department, in addition to overseeing the implementation of management and conservation plans related to cultural sites and cultural heritage in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

He has a PhD in History and Civilisation Studies and is an expert in Cultural Heritage and cultural education. He taught many courses at UAE University.
He has written many works and completed research in heritage and oral history, and he has developed content and education kits for the UAE Cultural Heritage.
He helped prepare nomination files for some intangible UAE cultural heritage elements listed on the Representative List at UNESCO. In addition to conducting lectures, managing conferences, and participating in cultural discussions, he was a judge on many competition panels.
In 2018, he was awarded a DCT Excellence & Innovation Award (Al Maidan) Cycle 2018 and Cycle 2023; he organised a lot of conferences and panel discussions about the subject of heritage in education and participated in a training program for researchers in the Intangible Heritage Department and for museum employees at DCT Abu Dhabi as well. He is a member of the Social Studies Curriculum Committee at MoE and a Member of the Moral Studies Curriculum.Head of Arabic Studies Department at the Institute of Applied Technology, Abu Dhabi - UAE
Head of the Department of Arabic Studies at the Institute of Applied Technology. Previously, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language at Mutah University in Jordan and as a news report editor at Jordanian Radio.
Dr. Ameen published numerous publications and research papers in the field of the Arabic language, including "Utilising Quranic Evidence in Controversial Grammatical Rules" and "Grammatical Guidance for the Seven Quranic Readings: A Study in Refutation Books."
He has participated in various conferences, seminars, dialogues, and scientific workshops, such as the Sixth Gulf Conference on Heritage and Oral History and Al Ain Book Festival. He has supervised many training courses, especially in the scientific and educational fields, in the United Arab Emirates.
