World Cuisine Corner - Hall 12
Join Chef René in this session as we dive into the world of chocolate through the ages, tracing its rich history from the ancient civilizations of the Maya and Inca, through the European traders who introduced cacao beans to the Old World, to its profound influence on modern cultures. Together, we will explore how chocolate evolved from a sacred food to a beloved consumer product enjoyed worldwide.
Through recipes inspired by the significant history that shaped this distinctive treat, this session, inspired by the book “Chocolate: A Universal History” will examine its impact on the economy, politics, art, and popular culture. Embark with us on a delightful journey through chocolate’s history, where flavor and memories intertwine in a truly magical experience.
