The session Sustainability According to the Founding Father illustrates all aspects of Sheikh Zayed's sustainability endeavours, including environmental, economic, social and cultural. It also discusses the clear and ambitious approach of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State (may God protect him) in defining the UAE's sustainability approach, goals and vision. This includes the UAE's responsibilities in facing challenges and shaping the sustainable development agenda on national and global levels to ensure a better tomorrow for future generations. These efforts enabled the UAE to become a host for the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), the largest global event on climate action.
Dr. Husniya Mohammed Al Ali holds a PhD in Business Administration on “Institutional Performance and Management of Change”, a Master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Higher Colleges of Technology, a Master’s degree in Service Development from the University of California, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from UAE University. She won the Government Excellence Award in Dubai Government Excellence Program. She is a graduate of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (categories of young leaders and government leaders). She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Benchmarking Group in Dubai Quality Group and an excellence expert and accredited assessor in awards at the level of the UAE and the Arab world.
Dr. Husniya Al Ali who currently works as Educational Program Consultant in the National Library and Archives in the United Arab Emirates and previously worked in various bodies and departments) - has gained from her 23 years of work in the government sector an extensive scientific and practical experience that contributed to the development of institutional knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to ensure outstanding performance that contributes to sustainability of government services sector in the entities she worked in. With this job diversity, she succeeded in understanding and meeting the needs of employer and customers. Her experience includes many areas such as: Corporate Communication and Community Department, Human Resources Department, Media and Public Relations, Service Development, Performance Measurement and Customer Services and Relations.
