Education is at the heart of what we do. Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was created to inspire and inform, and we love welcoming the next generation of readers to the Fair.

Bring budding authors, future publishers or talented young artists to the Fair and let your students experience the buzz of a global publishing marketplace, stacked with books.

With a strong Educational Programme of virtual events and sessions for schoolchildren and university students, Abu Dhabi International Book Fair also provides an ideal forum for educators and educational publishers to come together, share ideas and do business.

Teenagers and young adults are our future disrupters, and in 2019 we were proud to host a range of workshops and seminars to set young minds alight. From expert workshops on how to become a Ted Talker; change the world for the better; write comedy; connect with other people and perform poetry, to motivating sessions with speakers such as bestselling Saudi Arabian author Abdullah Al Jumah, who travelled to 100 countries before the age of 30, there were endless opportunities for students to learn something new and broaden their horizons.

Our younger visitors were well catered for as well, with interactive workshops from a range of the world’s favourite children’s writers and illustrators – including Ali Sparkes, award-winning author of the Shapeshifter series, and renowned illustrator Curtis Jobling, creator of much-loved characters Bob the Builder and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion.

Though Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2021 will not host the usual interactive workshops, the Fair will deliver online activities and will give visiting students an unforgettable window into literary life.
