Inji Efflatoun was one of Egypt’s most important modern artists, a painter whose work was inseparable from her ideas about justice, equality, and freedom.

This event marks a new volume on her life and legacy, bringing together essays, interviews, and the first English translation of her Arabic memoir, originally published in 1993. Through her art and writing, it asks how Efflatoun made creativity a way of seeing, resisting, and remaking the world.
